CHURCH / VILLAGE EVENTS
MARLDON APPLE PIE FAIR
The Marldon Apple Pie Fair has been traditionally held over the August Bank Holiday in Marldon since 1888 in memory of a local farmer, George Hill who each year would give the windfalls to his workers to make an enormous apple pie for the village. Nowadays there are a lot of smaller apple pies made and they are hidden under a big crust and a donkey cart pulls the big apple pie around the village. Also every year an Apple Pie Princess in crowned.
